10 local children have successfully bid for £5,000 so that Fun Nights can be run at West Wight Sports Centre. Luke and Louis Herbert, Jack and Joe Ellis, Sid McLaren, Charlie and Molly Fennimore, Abbie and Rachel Piper and Dan Flux presented their idea to an audience at the UP2U awards day on Saturday 6th February. Their play illustrating the need for the Fun Nights and what they would do with the money was well received and they were succesful in receiving the full amount asked for - £5,000.

Children and their families can attend and there will be a whole host of sports on offer - depending on the availablity of instructors - there will be swimming, canoeing, snorkelling, karate, kick boxing, badminton, tennis, football, basketball and many more. In fact if anyone has any ideas they can put them forward.
